Foxley Talent are proudly working with an open source software non profit that supports the wider software community.

Their engineering team is growing, and they are hiring a mid to senior Django Developer with Wagtail knowledge to help build and maintain the platforms at the heart of what they do.

What you will be doing

  • Building and maintaining features across the main website and related properties
  • Shipping content and CMS features in Wagtail that the community relies on
  • Working end to end data models, views, templates and the front end behaviour that ties them together
  • Writing tests, documenting changes and the long term health of the codebase

The stack

  • Python, Django and Wagtail on the backend
  • Semantic HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript for the frontend

What they are REALLY looking for

  • Real and Tangible Wagtail experience in production. This is a hard requirement
  • Three to five years of professional Django development experience
  • Comfortable owning features from data model through to what the user sees
  • Strong written English. This is a remote team that relies on the written word
  • Preference for candidates physically based in the Pacific or Mountain time zones

What is on offer

  • $120,000 to $130,000 depending on experience
