Foxley Talent is working with a bootstrapped and founder led startup building next generation infrastructure software for real world logistics and operations. Our client’s platform connects remote regions by air, land and sea bringing automation, visibility, and control to a previously disconnected industry.

They are currently hiring a Senior Django Developer for a Founding Engineer role. This is the first full time hire to join the 3 founders and help build out the core platform from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to help define a product and company from day one. Helping to shape everything from system architecture to engineering culture.

This is a fully remote position but ONLY open to those and living in California

The Role

• Work directly with the founding team to design, build, and scale the core platform
• Take ownership of backend systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions, product roadmap, and technical direction
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and troubleshoot live issues
• Help define engineering processes and play a role in future hiring decisions
• Build, test, and deploy high quality, scalable code in a modern web environment
  

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling backend web applications
• Strong proficiency with Python and Django
• Familiarity with GraphQL, TypeScript, and React is a plus
• Experience working in cloud environments (GCP, Cloudflare, or similar)
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, early stage environment
• Based in California and legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Able to work 40–50 hours per week, with core hours 9AM–2PM Pacific Time
  

What’s on Offer

• $125,000 - $150,000 salary
• 1–2% equity, depending on experience
