Senior Data Scientist

Foxley Talent are working with a London based startup in the SaaS space whose main product helps businesses in the industrial sector manage their workflow with greater efficiency.

They are looking for a Senior Data Scientist as a strategic hire working with the Engineering Director. This role will suit an experienced Data Scientist who has worked on products that have been successfully commercialised.

Our client has been well received in their target market and has a healthy revenue pipeline as well over 100 committed long term customers. This is a crucial role for the business as they work to build the AI capability in their product suite.

Key tasks ahead for the new Senior Data Scientist will include:

• Contribute to the longer term product roadmap.
• Help to refine the AI impact to achieve the company vision.
• Work with ML Engineers to help productise the AI Modelling.
• Improve Data quality, efficiency and accuracy.
• Build Computer Vision algorithms for object detection, scene understanding and image segmentation.

We are looking for candidates to be able to demonstrate the following experience:.

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow, SQL and Python
• At least 2 years work experience (not study based) with Object Detection Models
• Expertise in training, fine tuning and deploying Computer Vision Models.
• Proficiency in implementing search and RAG techniques.
• Worked with cloud services like AWS, GCP, Docker and Linux

In addition, successful applicants will meet some if not all of these requirements:

• A Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Data Science
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive and a passion for solving real-world problems using technology.
• Experience working within a scaling business.

This is a full-time, hybrid/remote role based in the UK, with regular travel to London for face-to-face meetings.

Salary ranges from £75,000 - £110,000
